Missions :
The Clinical Proteomics Platform (PPC) aims to exploit the latest technological and bioinformatic developments in proteomics for the discovery and validation of biomarkers in complex human pathologies.
The missions set for the clinical proteomics platform revolve around 2 axes:
– Develop new methodological approaches for clinical proteomics in the field of preparation of biological samples (pre-fractionation, enrichment in low abundance proteins, …), protein separation and bioinformatic analysis of data.
– Make available to regional academic and industrial teams and beyond, medical, biological and technical expertise in Clinical Proteomics.
Skills :
Biochemistry
● Help in the design of proteomic experiments
● Preparation of biological samples for proteomic analysis (pre-fractionation, protein enrichment, …)
● Separation of proteins by electrophoresis (1D and 2D)
● Image analysis (Progenesis Samespot, Sili2Dgel)
● Quantitative and qualitative proteomics
● Multiplexed dosages
Biostatistics / Bioinformatics
● Data management: Data quality control, identification of biases, preliminary data processing (normalization, subtraction of background noise)
● Functional analyzes of biological protein networks
Peptides arrays – interaction analysis
● Rapid synthesis of a large number of different peptides on a cellulose membrane (arrays peptide) for the mapping and characterization of epitopes and interaction sites. The reactivity is easily evaluated by tests of the immuno-revelation type.
Microfluidics
● Plate of microfluidic analyzes in homogeneous and heterogeneous phases (droplets, vesicles, cells)
Equipements :
● Separation of proteins in mono and two-dimensional gel and image analysis (MS Access)
● Multiplexed analysis of luminex® type (Bioplex®, Biorad)
● Software in biostatistics, network analysis and mathematics: R, Cytoscape
● Computing and storage servers.
● Multipep synthesis robot (Intavis)
● Microfluidic analysis system (fluorescence microscope, lasers, micro-pumps, high speed cameras, etc.)

The platform welcomes laboratory projects but also projects of academic or private research teams in the form of collaborations (or services). The Platform offers expertise and technical resources in biochemistry, biostatistics, bioinformatics, microfluidics and peptide chemistry applied to the fields of clinical proteomics.
